STONE & COUNTERTOPS

Countertop Fabrication in
Los Angeles, CA

Fabrication is where a slab becomes your countertop. It’s the templating, cutting, shaping and polishing that determine whether the finished surface fits the cabinets exactly, whether the seams disappear and whether the edges feel right under your hand. ARD Remodeling fabricates quartz, granite, marble and other natural stone countertops for homes throughout Los Angeles and Surrounding Areas.

We measure digitally, cut precisely and finish every edge and cutout by hand, so the piece that arrives at your home fits the first time.

HOW IT WORKS

From Slab Selection to Finished Piece

Fabrication begins before the first cut. For homeowners across Greater Los Angeles, we help you choose the slab, then plan the layout on that specific slab so the most attractive areas end up where you’ll see them most, such as the island top or the run in front of the window. Seam locations are decided at this stage, not on installation day.

Once cabinets are installed and level, we template the space digitally. The template captures wall irregularities, overhangs, the sink and cooktop openings and the exact positions of faucet holes. The slab is then cut to that template, cutouts are made, and edges are shaped and polished to the profile you chose.

  • Slab layout planned for veining and colorThe best part of the slab goes where you see it.
  • Overhangs and support planned for islands and barsStable, safe and sized right.
  • Sink, cooktop, faucet and outlet cutoutsCut precisely from the template.
  • Backsplash and side splash pieces cut to matchOne consistent look across the kitchen.

  • Quality finishes
How long does fabrication take after templating?

Typically about one to two weeks, depending on the material, the complexity of the cutouts and edge work, and our current schedule. We confirm the timeline when we template.

Can you fabricate a countertop from a slab I bought myself?

Yes. Bring us the slab details or the slab itself and we’ll template, fabricate and install it at your Los Angeles home. We recommend confirming the slab size covers your layout before purchasing.

Where will the seams be?

We plan seams during layout, usually at sink or cooktop cutouts or in the least visible run, and we show you the plan before cutting.

Which edge profile is most popular?

Eased and mitered edges are the most requested for modern kitchens. Bullnose and ogee remain popular in traditional homes. We can show samples of each.
