1. Introduction
ARD LLC, doing business as ARD Remodeling (“ARD Remodeling,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you visit ardremodeling.com (the “Site”), contact us, request an estimate, or use our services.
2. Information We Collect
Contact and project information. We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, property address, project preferences, and details about the services you request.
Photos and other uploaded content. If you submit photos, videos, plans, or other documents, we collect those files and any personal information they contain. Please avoid submitting sensitive documents or information about other people unless necessary and you are authorized to provide it.
Communications. We collect emails, text messages, form submissions, and information exchanged during calls. Where permitted and with any required consent, this may include call recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries.
Service and transaction information. We may maintain estimates, proposals, contracts, appointment details, invoices, payment status, and project records. Payment providers process payment information according to their own privacy notices.
Technical and usage information. Our Site and connected services may collect IP addresses, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referring websites, interactions with the Site, and approximate location derived from an IP address.
We collect information directly from you, automatically through the Site, and from service providers or referral platforms involved in your inquiry or project.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and prepare estimates;
- assess project needs and review submitted photos or documents;
- schedule consultations, appointments, and project work;
- provide services and manage contracts, invoices, and customer support;
- send appointment reminders and project-related communications;
- send marketing communications where permitted and with any required consent;
- measure advertising performance and understand use of the Site;
- improve our services, prevent fraud, and maintain security;
- meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations and resolve disputes.
5. How We Disclose Information
We disclose information as reasonably necessary to:
- Service providers: hosting, security, email, data storage, customer management, scheduling, payment, communications, and related business services.
- Communications and AI providers: including Twilio for communications and Retell AI for AI-assisted telephone interactions.
- Analytics and advertising partners: including Google and Meta, as described above.
- Project participants: subcontractors and suppliers who need relevant information to perform the services you request.
- Legal and safety recipients: when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate fraud, or address security and safety concerns.
- Business transaction participants: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable law.
Service providers’ use of information is governed by applicable agreements and law. Advertising partners may process information under their own privacy policies.
6. Photos and AI Previews
Some tools on our Site let you upload a photo of your home and see ideas for it, for example a new bathtub, faucet, shower or tile in your bathroom.
What happens to your photo. The photo is processed in your browser (it is resized there) and then, only after you tick the consent box next to the tool, sent to third-party AI service providers that we use for this feature. One provider looks at the photo to suggest options, and another may edit the photo to show the option you chose. We do not keep your photo or the generated pictures on our Site. The providers process them under their own terms and privacy policies, which may include limited temporary retention for safety and abuse prevention.
Other preview tools. Our paint, countertop, ceiling, roof, and door and window preview tools work on your device. Your photo stays in your browser and is not sent to us or to an AI provider unless you choose to attach it to a request.
If you send us a request. If you book a visit or request a call and the tool attaches your photo and the preview, we receive and use them as described in this policy under “Information We Collect” and “How We Use Information.”
Please keep in mind. Do not upload photos that show people, children, documents, or sensitive information. AI-generated pictures are only an idea: they may differ from your real room, and they are not a design, an estimate, or a promise of a result. You can use the rest of our Site and contact us by phone or email without using these tools.
7. Calls, AI Assistance, and Recording
We use Retell AI to assist with calls, collect project information, answer questions, and help coordinate requests. Calls may involve an AI voice assistant.
Where calls are recorded or transcribed, we provide notice and obtain consent as required by applicable law. Recordings, transcripts, and summaries may be processed by our communications and AI providers for the purposes described in this policy.
If you do not wish to participate in an AI-assisted or recorded call, you may contact us by email instead.
8. Text Messages
With your consent, we may send text messages about your inquiry, estimate, appointments, or project. Promotional texts require separate consent where applicable. Providing a phone number alone does not enroll you in promotional messaging.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages. For assistance, email mail@ardremodeling.com or call (424) 402-5114.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing services.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose this information to providers that deliver or support our messaging services, or where required by law. SMS consent is not transferred to other businesses for their marketing.
9. Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, ongoing services, security, or legal claims.
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message or by contacting us. We may still send necessary service-related emails about an active project.
Please send privacy requests to mail@ardremodeling.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity for access, correction, or deletion requests. We do not require identity verification for requests to opt out of sale or sharing, although we may need information to apply the request.
10. California Privacy Rights
Depending on whether the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to our business and your information, California residents may have rights to:
- know and access personal information collected about them;
- request deletion or correction;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable;
- receive equal treatment when exercising privacy rights.
These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, subject to applicable verification requirements.
We respond to applicable requests within the periods required by law. Contact us using the details below to submit a request or ask about available rights.
11. Data Retention
We retain information for periods appropriate to its purpose:
- Inquiries and uploaded materials: to evaluate and respond to requests and manage related follow-up.
- Project and transaction records: to complete services and meet accounting, warranty, legal, and dispute-resolution needs.
- Communications and call records: for customer service, quality review, and relevant operational or legal needs.
- Technical and advertising data: according to the purpose of the technology, provider settings, and applicable requirements.
- Consent and opt-out records: as needed to document permissions and honor communication preferences.
Retention periods depend on the nature of the information, our relationship with you, and applicable obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to backup processes and legal retention requirements.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No website, communications system, or storage method is completely secure.
