WHY QUARTZ
The Look of Stone With Less Upkeep
Natural stone is beautiful but needs periodic sealing, and marble in particular can etch from acidic foods. Quartz gives you a similar look without those concerns. Because it is manufactured, the pattern you see in the sample is the pattern you get, which makes it easier to plan a kitchen with confidence.
Quartz is also one of the most hygienic countertop surfaces. With no pores to trap moisture, it doesn’t harbor bacteria and cleans up with a mild soap. For busy family kitchens, rental properties and bathrooms across Greater Los Angeles, it’s a practical choice that still looks refined.

FAQ
Quartz Questions
We’re here to help. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to contact us.
- Non-porous
- Low maintenance
- Wide color range
Is quartz the same as quartzite?
No. Quartz is an engineered surface made of crushed quartz and resin. Quartzite is a natural stone that is quarried and cut like granite. Both are durable, but quartzite needs sealing while quartz does not.
Can quartz be damaged by heat?
The resin in quartz can be affected by very high heat, so we recommend trivets under hot pans. Everyday warmth from dishes or appliances is not a problem.
Can you match the veining across seams?
With veined designs we plan the layout so the pattern flows as naturally as possible across seams and around corners, and we show you the plan before cutting.
Is quartz suitable for outdoor kitchens?
Most quartz is not rated for direct sun and can discolor outdoors. For outdoor kitchens in Los Angeles we recommend granite or another material designed for exterior use.
