Details That Define a Space
Custom stonework is about proportion and precision. A waterfall island only looks right when the mitered corner is tight and the veining turns the corner naturally. A slab backsplash needs outlets, windows and range hoods planned into the cut. A fireplace surround has to handle heat and carry its own weight safely.
We plan each piece on the actual slab, match veins across joints wherever the material allows, and engineer the supports and adhesives for the weight and location. The result is stone that looks like it was always part of the architecture.

Can a waterfall island be made from one slab?
Often, yes, depending on the island size and the slab dimensions. When two slabs are needed, we select sequential slabs so the veining continues around the mitered corner.
Is a full slab backsplash better than tile?
A slab backsplash has no grout lines, is easier to clean and gives a seamless look that continues the countertop. Tile offers more pattern options at a lower cost. We can show both.
Which stone works for a fireplace surround?
Granite, quartzite and marble all handle the heat of a typical Los Angeles residential fireplace. Engineered quartz should be kept a safe distance from the firebox, and we plan the layout accordingly.
Can you use stone in a shower?
Yes. Slab shower walls, curbs and niches are fabricated from sealed natural stone or porcelain slabs and installed over a properly waterproofed substrate.
